WHEN I HAVE FEARS THAT I MAY CEASE TO BE
Medium: Conversations / Participatory Performance
Year: 2022 (on-going)
Tomorrow is the end of the world. What is your plan for today?’
This project helps people to plan their itinerary on the last day
before the end of the world. Through conversations, the artist,
without agenda or presumption, guides the participants to
reflect upon death, in juxtaposition to their mode of existence.
They are encouraged to talk about their outlook on life, inner
fear, memories, wishes, as well as earth history (how do we
come here?) and human fate (where are we going?).
Based on such conversations, the artist and the participant
draw up an itinerary of ‘what should be done on the last day
before the end of the world’. Participants are then encouraged to
act out their itinerary, under the slogan “Plan Ahead. Rehearse.”.
